Having a knack for creating both indelible and relatable characters that she has brought to the stage and screen, Sandy Boikian has carved out a niche in the faith-based genre: “Redemption Stories.”
Whether it’s Monica (Leaving Limbo) going from self-centeredness to selfless surrender, or Quinn (Daisies for Katie) and Rosalie (Fragile World) from brokenness to healing, the common thread in all of her works – be it a drama, mystery, farce, or period piece – is a redeeming path to enlightenment.
She peels back the layers of each character, stripping them of weaknesses and strengths, of fears and courage, to provide satisfying stories etched with startling honesty.
Alex (Mysterious Ways) journeys from unbending atheism to disillusionment in her beliefs.
Wealthy Jeremy (The Role Model) goes bankrupt. Spoiled Kathryn (No Sunlight) lands in squalor.
Dealing with such topics as materialism, heartbreak, and surrender, Sandy is compelled to tell engaging stories that go beyond mere entertainment. She is most grateful for the encouraging feedback and reviews stating that her films and plays have made a difference.
She invites you to come along for the ride.
